These children are often lured with promises of an education or a good job. Girls are forced into the sex industry at increasingly younger ages partly as a result of the mistaken belief that younger girls are unlikely to be infected with HIV/AIDS virus. Have a look at some of the facts we have found:

• Estimated that over 10 million Children in the Sex Industry right now.

• Every minute 2 children are forced into the sex industry.

• They are sold by parents, tricked or abducted.

• Children are then put into brothels & made to ‘pay back’ buyers.

• They are beaten, drugged & raped into submission and often chained to beds.

• They perform 30-40 tricks a day.

• Their average life expectancy is 16-18 years due to HIV & AIDS. Volunteers have come across children being sold for less than $1 to perform a sexual act!

We believe at The Mission Worldwide that this is NOT acceptable. It is wrong to exploit any person. It is even more wrong if that person is a child. And when abuse takes the form of the commercial sexual exploitation of the young, it is an abhorrent criminal act, and we must put an end to it TMW is a charity dedicated to fighting Injustice by pouring out compassion and love into communities, orphans and widows. Serving in pactical ways, motivated by love, grace & mercy. TMW works to make a difference in poverty and injustice against the poor. To challenge mindsets and raise awareness of the needs. To challenge causes of poverty through partnerships, local community action and local leaders.

CAMBODIA RESCUE PROJECT: We have projects in Cambodia that will tackle the heart of the Child Prostitution industry, and will give you the chance to help make a difference; we would love you to be part of that work. Our work in Cambodia at the moment is Developing in ways that will dramatically impact Human Trafficking. We have many friends here at TMW, we have partnered with many local NGO's to serve alongside them helping with what needs they have.
